Sometime after the events of the first game, William went back and dismantled Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, but didn't make it out after being cornered by Cassidy. The children in question were kidnapped from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in 1985/1983 and, upon dying, their souls became attached to the core animatronic crew of Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, Chica, and Golden Freddy.
